FINESTRAT COVE

The Finestrat Cove is a beach in the city of Villajoyosa located next to the Poniente Beach in Benidorm. It is located near other small beaches that practically connect to the two aforementioned cities.

This is a small (about 300 metres ) and private beach with its own special microclimate, since the mountains shelter it from the southerly winds. Thanks to its fine golden sand and crystal-clear waters, it has been awarded with the coveted EU Blue Flag every year since 1998. As it faces south, bathers can enjoy sun without shifting position and during the whole year. It is also an ideal place to practise snorkelling and scuba diving, water sports and sand sports such as beach volleyball. Every mid-August, the beach plays host to an international beach volleyball competition.

Finestrat is a typical Mediterranean inland town, enjoys this small piece of coastline that constitutes its beach thanks to its contribution to defend the coast against Berber pirates.
