| LA OLLA BEACH |

Between the small Harbour of Mar y Montaña and El Portet de L’Olla, a beach of more than one kilometre of sand, pebbles and rocks stretches out and offers clean waters to swim in.
Once the mountainous area connecting Bernia with the sea ends, now roughly, now warmly, the beach starts in La Olla, where the mountain, as ceding unwillingly, leaves a narrow space between it and the sea; a little further down, this space gets wider. La Olla has been traditionally a summer resort from the beginning of the century. Opposite La Olla, the “Illeta”, a small island 500 metres away from the beach, emerges and attracts, as a big conch emerging from waters, navigators who want to admire the beauty of its landscape. It is an ideal place for excursions on small vessels. “La Illeta” also offers a tiny beach protected against east wind by the island itself.
Although La Olla beach has a narrow strip of rocks and gravel without sand, it is one of the most popular beaches in Altea, from which you can admire the small island of the same name.
