La Casota is located in La Vall de Laguart (the Laguart Valley), one of the greenest and most fertile valleys in the Marina Alta region, an area with numerous natural springs. La Casota has its origin in an old settlement dating from the Almohad period (12th century), in which a defence tower was erected on an easily defensible rock outcrop, from which all the fortresses of the surrounding area can be made out:

An old flour mill turned into five rural apartments, complete and independent of each other. Completely new, it was inaugurated in August 2003.

It is located in an isolated area with a high landscape interest and surrounded by crops and mountain. It is near the sea (12 km away) and right in the heart of nature.

The thick stone walls have been left exposed outside the house, but also inside all the apartments there are evidences of them anywhere. The original rustic nature of the ceilings still survives. In all the apartments, kitchens and bathrooms are completely equipped and they have heating. There is also a washing machine in every room.

La Llar d'Aitana is a typical town house dating prior to the 19th century, which has been restored conserving the original design and structure and its traditional materials such as wood, stone, iron and natural clay, also including more modern elements in contrast to add an elegant and harmonious touch to the atmosphere.

On the ground floor, accessible for the disabled, we find a reception-office, a lobby, a living/dining room with chimney, TV and sound system, a bedroom with a bathroom adapted for the disabled, a communal toilet, a kitchen with a pantry (equipped with oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, glass ceramic hob, paella cook, fridge, freezer and other small electrical appliances), a junk room and a courtyard with a barbecue.

The first floor has three bedrooms with their own bathroom, a laundry room with a dryer and a library equipped with reading material, tourist information and information about the most interesting landscape routes in the region, board games and a wide collection of videos and DVDs. From here you can gain access to two sunny terraces.

On the upper floor, we find a spacious bedroom (which was before used as the barn) with a bathroom and a terrace looking over the mountain, and the old attic, now turned into a comfortable loft created as an open space with wooden ceilings and stone walls, which divides into a kitchen, a dining room with chimney, a space for the bedroom and an additional bed, apart from a closed space for the dressing room.

The house has central heating and air conditioning on the upper floor. Likewise, for a comfortable rest, the five bedrooms have been equipped with comfortable and spacious beds (1.05 or 1.50 cm). The bathrooms have all the necessary accessories, included glass screens.
